A ~ Adoption

Adoption became an option for us after years of trying to get pregnant, and multiple failed attempts of artificial insemination. Although we have struggled with infertily it has helped us grow closer together and to our Savior. We have been guided towards the adoption process and we are so excited to someday be parents.

B ~ Birth Mother Letter

Dear Birth Parents,

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family. We have great respect and appreciation for your desires to do what is best for your child regarding adoption. If you choose to place your child for adoption, he or she would know that they are loved by you and will be raised with all the love possible from us. Your name will be held in the highest regard in our home.

We have longed to have children for many years, and although it has been a struggle for us, it has brought us closer together and to our Savior. We know he has a plan for us to have a family, and we have been guided towards the adoption process. We can't wait for the day when we can take our precious child to the temple to be sealed to us for time and all eternity.

We met in July 2001 and were “just friends” until the day we got engaged. We were both in denial about the fact that we had feelings for each other, but once we recognized those feelings, our friendship turned into an engagement and we have been best friends ever since. We were married on December 1st, 2001, and later sealed in the Detroit Temple on February 8th, 2003. The day we got sealed was such a special day for us, and one of the happiest days of our lives. We were originally going to be sealed in the Timpanogos Temple and fly Lee's parents to Utah, who were living in Detroit. Due to some medical problems, Lee's father was unable to travel, so we scheduled a flight with Kindra's parents and went to Detroit. That was the last time we saw Lee's Dad. He passed away a few years later. I am so glad we were able to spend such a special day with him and have such a great last memory with him.

There are many things that we enjoy doing together. Going on our weekly date night is always fun. We like to go to movies, go on motorcycle rides, taking day trips up the canyon to find jeep trails and play board games with family and friends. Travel is also something we both really enjoy and have many places we want to visit.

Kindra Speaking:

I was born and raised in Utah. I am the 2nd child of 4 girls. I enjoy scrapbooking, blogging, 4-wheeling, board games, motorcycle riding, going on trips, camping and spending time with my family. The best part is being able to play with my nieces and nephews. One of my favorite hobbies is photography. I love to document everything we do. There will be no shortage of family pictures as we raise our family. At the present time I work full-time, but we are working toward the goal of me eventually being a stay at home mom once we are fortunate enough to become parents. I would love to pursue a career at home doing photography as I continue to learn more and expand my talent. I love children and have longed for the opportunity to be a Mother. I can’t wait to for that day to come.

Lee’s thoughts of Kindra:

Kindra is a very kind, loving, and generous person. She is very passionate about things that are important to her, especially photography. She has offered to take many people’s family pictures. She gets involved with family photo challenges with her Dad and sisters and enjoys every minute of it. She has a fun loving personality and she’s very fun to be with. I consider myself the luckiest man in the world to have her.

Lee Speaking:

I was raised in Michigan. I am the youngest of 5. I love watching Football and Hockey and I’m a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions and Redwings. I enjoy going on motorcycle rides, watching movies, playing golf, going on trips and also spending time with family. I would love nothing more than to have a child.

Kindra’s thought about Lee:

Lee is one of the hardest workers I have ever met. He is so dedicated to everything he sets his mind to. He is constantly asking people if they need help with anything and always offers his services. He has put in air conditioners for free on more than one occasion. One of the things I love about him most is his laugh. He is such a gentle, caring person and I couldn't have asked for a better partner in life. He is great with kids and I can't wait for the day to come when we have a child of our own for him to love. He will be such a great father.

One of our greatest joys is our dogs. Syd is our loving Great Dane and Maggie is our little Min Pin. Maggie was a birthday present for Kindra. We were living in an apartment at her parent’s house at the time and her parents told Lee that he could buy her a dog as long as it was small. We went on a jeep trip to Moab the weekend after her birthday and she spent the whole trip thinking about the new puppy she would be getting. One of the first things we did after coming home was head to the pet store to find her little baby. Syd was a gift for Lee. He had always wanted a Great Dane, so Kindra promised him that when they bought a house then he could have one. We moved into our home and bought Syd about a week later. Since we have no children, Syd and Maggie are our babies right now and we love them so much. We can't imagine our lives without them and they have brought such happiness to our home.

We want you to know that we are praying for you. We can't imagine what you are going through and we pray that the Lord will guide you in your decision. We want you to be comforted in your journey of making the best decision for you and your baby. If you choose adoption, we pray you will find the perfect family to raise your child and know that wherever they end up, they will be loved.

We hope to meet you and start a life long friendship full of love and appreciation. If you choose to place your precious child with us, your sacrifice will never be forgotten and we will love you more than you will ever know.

With Love,
Lee & Kindra

C ~ Christmas Traditions

Christmas is such a fun time of year for us. We have a huge Christmas Village that we set up every year and we continue to add pieces to it. We love to drive around and look at all the lights, and enjoy the company of our family. It's tradition that all the kids get new pajamas every Christmas Eve so they can wear them to bed while waiting for Santa to come. We also like to get together and build ginger bread houses.

D ~ Dogs

One of our greatest joys is our dogs. Syd is our loving Great Dane and Kota is our little Min Pin. Kota joined our family recently after Maggie passed away so suddenly. Maggie passed away on April 21, 2009. We were so saddened my her sudden loss. She brought such happiness to our home and we will forever remember her.
Syd was a gift for Lee. He had always wanted a Great Dane, so Kindra promised him that when they bought a house then he could have one. We moved into our home and bought Syd about a week later. He is the best dog and we love him so much. He has helped us immensely as we have dealt with the loss of Maggie.

E ~ Eternity

We are so blessed to have been raised in the LDS church with the knowledge we have of eternal families. We look forward to the day when we can take our precious child to the temple to be sealed for time and all eternity. The temple is such a peaceful place and reminds us of how blessed we are.

F ~ Family

Our family is so important to us. Although Lee's family doesn't live near us, he still has a great relationship with his Mom and siblings. Kindra's family is mostly in Utah with the exception of one sister who lives out of state. We love to get together and play games, watch movies, and have family BBQ's. Kindra also has two Grandparents that live close by so we are able to spend time with them as well.

G~ Golf

Lee loves to get out and play golf. He has a yearly tournament with Kindra's Dad and brother in laws. Kindra will sometimes go with Lee, and drive the golf cart around. Even though she doesn't golf herself, she still enjoys going out with Lee on the course.

H ~ House Decorations

Anyone who knows Kindra, knows that she loves to buy house decorations. She loves to make our home a very inviting place. She makes it hard to shop for becuase house decorations is all she ever wants :)

I ~ Interests & Hobbies

Kindra loves scrapbooking, blogging, 4-wheeling, board games, motorcycle riding, going on trips, camping and spending time with her family. The best part is being able to play with our nieces and nephews.

J ~ Jeepin

4-Wheeling is something we love to get out and do. We love to go up the canyon or pack up and head down to Moab. Currently we don't own a jeep. The pictures above are of Kindra's jeep she had when we met and were first married. We traded it in for a family car, not knowing we would be unable to have children. Kindra really misses her jeep, but we'll get another one in a few years. We can't wait! It's a good thing Kindra's Dad and Brother-in-law have jeeps so we can still get out and enjoy some trails.

Kindra's Testimony

I was fortunate be be raised by my wonderful parents with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have had many trails througout my life which have allowed me to gain a better testimony and to grow closer to my Savior. I know he has a plan for me and if I'm faithful, those blessings will come to me. I have been blessed with the most loving husband who loves me unconditionally. My family has always been a loving support to me throughout my life and I love them all so much.

I have a testimony of adoption and in the blessings and miracles it will bring into my life. I have come to have complete peace and comfort in knowing that my mission in life is to adopt a child and raise them in the gospel. When you love in this way you do it without expectation of reciprocity and with no preconceived notions of how or if they will express love back to you. This is the kind of love you see exhibited by parents and children, brothers and sisters, true friends, and the best of relationships.

We truly believe that you as a birth mother, if you choose to place your baby for adoption shows the highest act of unconditional love possible. That is proof of how much you love your baby, by making such a selfless decision. We being on the receiving end of that love will be forever grateful for the love you have shown.

As a Gemini, you possess an amazing ability to see dualities -- the pros and cons of situations as change approaches -- and to quickly and efficiently think them through before making any decisions. In 2009, you dare to look deeply into your desires, regenerate self-awareness and recognize psychological ambiguities. This will bring balance into your home and family life. Pay attention to the details as you bring your inner and outer life into harmony. And be sure to enjoy the changes occurring within you!

As you come to terms with yourself, you are able to see a more fulfilling purpose in life, and your field of experience broadens. Focus on matters that affect you most deeply and, like magic, your life will become easier and things will seem to take care of themselves. You have all the necessary resources and motivation to make tangible changes and achieve results this year.

Toward the end of the year, you'll have time to enjoy yourself, and to bask in a great sense of accomplishment. With the expansive and idealistic energy flowing throughout 2009, Gemini is very comfortable in this age of new awareness and high-mindedness.

You're no longer separated from what you want as you to detach from limiting thoughts, bringing you a new spiritual perspective of feeling fully supported and loved.

As you stay centered within your core, your highest ideals manifest, and you have the ability to help others realize their interconnectedness, and bring balance into their lives. Your efforts bring you into a more stable way of working than ever before, an important development, what with all the changes occurring this year.
